We are proud to announce the brand new Galette website!

It’s been a while since the old one did not receive any real update, and it has several issues on localization (for example, menu was no longer translated into english).

I’ve decided to make use of a vacation week to work on that. Old website was using Dotclear, we’ve switched to Jekyll now. All source code is publicly available (a mirror is available on GitHub as well). Pages and posts are licensed under the terms of the Creative Commons CC-BY-SA 4.0 license and the “source code” under the terms of the GPL version 3 license.

All posts have just been migrated (with a few fixes sometimes), and all pages has been entirely rewritten. I had to deal with some internationalization issues, but I guess I’ve been able to address them all… Please also note that new website has been built “mobile first” in mind; therefore navigation on mobile devices should be better than it was.

In the end, I hope I’ll be able to use a translation platform to get the website translated in other languages; it seems Weblate does not support markdown/html contents yet; I’ll have to investigate a bit.

If you find errors, please open an issue. Of course, you can also provide a git patch or open a pull request on GitHub :-)

I was testing Matrix this week-end, I saw it is possible to create rooms on the which are linked with IRC channels. So, I've setup that and you can now join us:

Galette official IRC channel (#galette on OFTC) is integrated, this is a more global discussion; I think it has advantages (at least, it do for me) :-)

Dynamic fields import from a CSV file is a common asked feature. It is the demand number one on voting system ;)

This feature has been recently integrated into Galette development branch! For the occasion, nightly Galette version has been updated, for whose who want to install and test it can do rigth now. See also Galette 0.9.4 modifications list (which may still evolve).

But I've also been thinking about others, and I've decided to put online a Galette demonstration version; which currently points on development branch. Ir's entirely resetted each night.

Please be aware all data are accessible for anyone, avoid abuses (and if you see something wrong, inform us).

To get logged in, use "adminweb" as login and password.

A fix release Galette 0.9.3.1 that fixes several small issues :)

For a good Galette we need a good oven...
Mine has been built more than 9 years ago, a renew will be mandatory, it has been heavily used :)

So, I need a new computer with a sufficient configuration to work; and hardware is quite expensive...
