Gestionnaire d'Adhérents en Ligne Extrêmement Tarabiscoté mais Tellement Efficace

Galette is a membership management web application towards non profit organizations. A detailled presentation is also available.

Galette's dashboard

It allows board members to know which fees will soon reach their due dates.
Moreover, each member can review and update his personal information.

Technical Requirements include a web server with PHP 5.4 minimum support and a database MySQL or PostgreSQL (see prerequisites). Galette 0.7 is entirely PHP 5 compatible (tested on php-5.5).

Galette is a free project, everyone willing to participate is very welcome ;-)

The name Galette is a French acronym for "Gestionnaire d'Adhérents en Ligne Extrêmement Tarabiscoté mais Tellement Efficace", freely translated to "Extremely Sophisticated but so Efficient On-Line Membership Manager". The french word "galette" also means (popular) "Money". Unfortunately, the translation removes all the fun !

  • Customize member form;
  • Add maintainance mode;
  • ...

Several bugs have also been fixed.

The complete changelog is as usual aailable from the documentation. Usermanual wll help you with new features.

A bugfix release, and another one tonight has also been released, and ships only bug fixes.

Stay tuned!

End of MySQL support

For a quite long time, I'm wondering if I must keep SQLite support into Galette. It takes very much time, and it is very complex; and for many reasons, I do not have much free time actually, and I have to find a solution.

All things considered; it appears that the worst database engine support is not SQLite, but MySQL.
I've so decided to stop MySQL support in Galette.

In concrete terms, that means all new Galette releases will no longer have MySQL support, but also all bugs and questions related to MySQL will no be processed. Users who use this engine should consider to migrate as soon as possible.

Galette 0.8: new recipe!

It's been 6 month since last Galette was released...

During this time, even if I became dad another time, I've worked on some important changes provided in this new release:

  • complete rewrite of the installation process, more pleasant and logic for the users, and much more flexible for developpers,
  • use of database component to its new major release, the old one is no longer supported,
  • PHP 5.4 as minimum version,
  • ...

Some bugs have been fixed, and some other improvements have been implemented, please take a look at the complete changelog. All plugins have also been updated, since old versions will not work with that new Galette.

You can download this release at:

This new progress in the projet closes 0.7 series that has been started early 2012, after some time of good and faithful services - well... I hope!

I now have to recover from all that ;)
